Booking your Initial Chiropractic visit at Wellbeing Chiropractic Health Centre can be made online or via phone. Please bear in mind that you will be required to attend two separate 20 min visits. If you book your first Initial Consultation and Examination online, we will then be in contact to reserve your Day 2 Report of Findings. (Your first treatment will be on Day 2 after we have explained our findings)
You will be required to pay a £30 deposit to secure your first visit, this deposit is non-refundable unless you give us at least 24hrs notice of cancellation. If you do change your mind and cancel your initial visit which was booked online, then please contact us to get your refund.
Taking your first few trips to the chiropractor can be intimidating. Therefore, it helps to have an idea what to expect when you arrive.
Day 1 – The Chiropractor will take a full case history to establish your general health and understand your symptoms, they will also carry out a physical examination which involves orthopaedic testing, neurological screening and assessing your posture.
Day 2 – The Chiropractor will explain to you their Report of Findings based on your Initial consultation, this will include any postural issues, rationale of care, any potential benefit or risk of your care, before outlining a treatment schedule, they will educate you about the chiropractic treatment, if there are no contraindications present, then you will receive your first Chiropractic adjustment.
The aim of a chiropractic treatment is to re-educate your body to stay in its optimal alignment, therefore, a suitable treatment plan may be advised on a case-by-case basis.
Chiropractic Care consists of 3 stages: 1) Pain relief and correction, (2) Stabilisation and strengthening and (3) Wellness care. Your Chiropractor will explain to you the importance of each of these stages and give you a choice whether you wish to continue with Chiropractic care at each stage.
